Garage Door Repairs in Sorrento, WA
Sorrento sits 18 km from the Perth CBD in the 6020, around Sorrento Beach and Sorrento Primary School. The housing here is established coastal-strip housing, largely single-storey brick and tile with newer two-storey infill on the larger lots, and roller doors dominate, and the bottom rails and fixings corrode from the inside well before the paint shows it.
Sorrento, WA — not the Victorian one — is 1970s and 80s coastal housing on the slope above Hillarys, with a growing amount of rebuilding. The original doors are well past their design cycle count by now, and the salt has been working on their fixings the whole time.
What we do in Sorrento
What garage doors in Sorrento are up against
Sorrento is 1 km from the water, which puts every door in the suburb under constant salt load. The failures follow a predictable order — fixings, then the bottom rail, then the springs — and they arrive years earlier than the same door would fail inland. Marine-grade hardware is not an upsell here, it is the difference between a door that lasts and one that stains within two summers.
Getting to Sorrento
Same day when a van is already in the corridor, otherwise next day for Sorrento. There is no depot and no showroom — the vans work corridors across the metro, so the honest answer depends on where one already is when you call. We will give you a real window on the phone rather than a comfortable one, and if we cannot get to you today we will say so.

What people around Sorrento said
“The bottom of our roller door had rusted through from the inside and we had no idea until it started dragging. Explained exactly what salt does out here and replaced the rail rather than talking us into a whole new door.”
“Door stopped halfway at about nine at night with the car stuck inside. Someone actually picked up, gave me a straight window, and turned up inside it. No drama.”
“Booked a service after years of doing nothing. He found a cable that was fraying and a spring most of the way through its life — neither of which I would have spotted. Would rather know now than at 6am on a work day.”

Garage doors in Sorrento — common questions
How quickly can you get to Sorrento?
It comes down to which corridor a van is working when you call, and Sorrento is 17.5 km out from the CBD. Ring rather than use the form if the door is stuck open — whoever answers can see where the vans are and will give you a straight answer in under a minute.
Do you charge a call-out fee in Sorrento?
The diagnostic estimate is free. You get the cost of the job before any work starts and you are free to decline it.
What usually goes wrong with garage doors in Sorrento?
On a Sorrento service the extra attention goes to corrosion under the bottom seal, at the fasteners and along the cut edges of the curtain. Beyond that, the cheap moment to catch a door is while it is only noisy — by the time it is struggling, the fault has usually spread to a second component.
Is all of Sorrento covered, or only part of it?
All of it, 6020 end to end, plus the neighbouring suburbs linked above. No part of it is treated as out of range — what varies across the metro is timing, not coverage.
